The 12' Saturn Catamaran is a very stable boat with very little drag due to the raised dropstitch floor design which makes it perfectly suited for a small electric motor. It works great with a small outboard motor and cruises at moderate speeds with just a 5 HP electric motor. The marine grade plywood transom is the only non-inflatable component of the boat which makes the ability to use it as a dinghy or transfer boat absolutely prefect. The drop-stitch core floor is rated over 10 psi and is the most rigid inflatable floor we've seen on the inflatable catamaran market. The TRMC365 can act as a stable fishing boat, weekend pleasure cruiser, or as an excellent ship-to-shore tender.

Although the boat is very sleek and stable it is not intended to be a sport racing boat. It was designed for leisure boating activities and does not have sponsors or fiberglass wings as you would find in the similar style XCAT racing boats. Care should be taken when using a gas outboard motor to limit speeds especially in strong wind conditions as the boat could flip if raced or improperly operated. As with any other watercraft, always wear a life jacket and use an outboard lanyard kill switch when going fast.

For increased safety each exterior tube has 2 individual air chambers, a feature that is only common in the highest quality inflatable catamarans and boats. This feature helps to prevent over-inflation or excess pressure build up due to changing air temperature. The extra wide durable rub strake on the bottom of our tubes are extra thick and allow beaching on rocky terrain.

The large diameter tubes provide improved performance and stability and the lowered front bow allows swimmers to quickly get in and out of the water when swimming. The splash plate on the back of the transom minimizes outdoor motor splash and the fins on the bottom help with tracking and directional stability.

Question: Why is this catamaran rated for only a 9.9HP outboard and not a more powerful motor?

Answer: Mini Cat boats are not built for high-speed racing. Unlike XCAT racing boats, they lack stabilizing features like sponsors or flat fiberglass bow wing. Instead, they are designed as budget-friendly options for smooth cruising with small gas or electric motors. Using a very powerful outboard can be risky in a strong forward winds, as too much speed against incoming wind gusts along with poor weight balance may cause the boat to flip backward. The curved front bow can catch wind at high speeds, increasing this risk. For safety, Mini Cats are limited to a 9.9HP motor. Always wear a life jacket and use the outboard’s kill switch when operating.

Great price, great boat that comes with all the accessories. hand pump will take long, so get an electric pump. Benches hurt if you plan to sit for a long time, get a cushion. everything else is fine.

The 12' catamaran has proven to be a good boat. I use it and keep it under a customized boat cover. Boatstogo make a boat cover for cats! I didn't have a motor when i purchased the boat so i used the oars for a while. They work just fine so you don't have to worry about getting stranded if you run out of gas.

I like to fish out on a large lake near where I live. Getting out there in the middle of this calm, huge lake is peaceful and enjoyable. But out there in the middle of the lake, there’s really no platform to stand on when I fish, which is how I like to do it. I grew up fishing off a dock, so it’s just what I’m used to. Well, a couple years ago, my little jon boat was on its last legs. I started looking around for a replacement, and I came across the MC356 Inflatable Mini-Cat from boatastogo.com. Looked good to me, so I ordered one online and had it shipped to my house, which is pretty great. No going out to some store and dealing with high-pressure sales stuff.

This thing is sweet! It’ll take me right out to the center of the lake, with plenty of room for all my fishing gear and my cooler. Once I get out to the middle, I kick off the motor and get right to fishing. This boat is so flat and stable, I can stand right up on it and use it as a fishing platform just like I want to. Plus, it fits right in my closet!

The MC365 inflatable catamaran is ideal if you're looking for a stable fishing platform. I bought it for weekend fishing trips and it has not disappointed. The two small fins at the bottom provide excellent directional tracking. The setup was relatively quick and it's easy to handle even with a small electric motor.

But remember, it's not a speedboat. It doesn't perform well against strong winds or high speeds, which I found out on a particularly windy day. The boat tipped a little due to uneven weight distribution. So, as long as you remember its purpose, you'll be more than happy with this boat.
