14' Saturn Triton Inflatable Ocean Kayak (TROK420)2021 14' Saturn Ocean Kayak - New Dropstich Floor Connection Design

We're excited to announce the new model 14' Saturn Ocean Kayak with our Triton upgrades is back in stock! It's been challenging to keep up with the demand for this product and they will likely sell out again this summer but we've got more arriving throughout the year.

The Triton Series upgrades represent over $350 additional value and include: upgraded PVC construction ($75 value), heat-welded seam technology ($150 value), Leafield D7 inflation valves ($50 value), and an extended 3-year warranty ($100 value). The boat technical specifications are nearly identical between the Triton model (TROK420) and our standard version (OK420). These Triton series improvements incorporate the newest technologies in inflatable kayak construction and provide an incredible value for those looking to put their kayak to the test.

The list price includes 1 highback foam kayak seat ($50 value), which is a must for this particular kayak if you're going out on the ocean for long. This is a commercial-grade inflatable kayak designed specifically for ocean use. The 14' Saturn Ocean Kayak has some new improvements, including our upgraded inflation valves and our upgraded Heytex PVC. The self-bailing floor has been eliminated for this model to prevent water from entering the kayak through the bottom, especially when carrying 2-3 people or a full load of gear.

Older Version (With Bailing Holes)

Why No Self-Bailing Floor? Unlike whitewater kayaking, where significant water intrusion is expected, ocean kayaking benefits from a non-self-bailing design. This feature prevents standing water from seeping into the kayak, which is especially important when approaching maximum load capacity or carrying substantial gear. A dry interior enhances performance, buoyancy, and comfort, making this kayak perfect for extended ocean adventures.

While this kayak is not self-bailing, it is still suitable for the ocean and also for flat rivers, bays, and streams. The TROK420 now features 2 removable directional fins to provide greater directional stability and reduce seesaw action you'll experience in competitor products. You can use the fins or remove them when kayaking in rocky or shallow conditions. The newly designed catamaran-hull feature helps with stability and reduces friction with the water.

Portability and Convenience This kayak is the most portable ocean-ready tandem inflatable kayak on the market. It inflates/deflates in under 5 minutes. Lightweight and compact, it easily stores in the trunk of your car or SUV, making it perfect for spontaneous getaways. In fact, it's light enough that one of our happy customers "recently travelled with it to Maui, Hawaii on Southwest Airlines and didn't even pay a penny to get it to and from. The kayak added some amazing experiences on our trip unlike any other item we've ever traveled with." The new Heytex heavy-duty PVC is an improved material over our prior models and has proven to handle commercial-grade conditions along with rocky or bony water. Our drop-stitch customized floor is over 5" thick and can be pressurized to over 6 psi, making it among the most rigid inflatable ocean kayaks on the market. The floor’s thickness provides the buoyancy needed to keep the waterline well below the top surface of the floor. The TROK420 series kayak also comes with pre-installed heavy-duty D-rings to accept the included kayak seat and cargo (a second seat can be added for $50).

If you are looking to use the kayak in river rapids and need a self-bailing design, please consider the 13' Saturn Whitewater Kayak.

Additional Information

Customer FAQ: How is the Ocean Kayak TROK420 different from your Expedition RK, Fishing FK kayaks, or Whitewater WK kayaks?

Answer: The biggest difference is the position of the floor, the floor thickness (5"), and the intent to use the highback kayak seats instead of inflatable thwarts or aluminum bench seats. The thicker floor provides much greater buoyancy, which is great when 2 adults are using it in tandem. The TROK420 is also longer than most models, providing greater leg capacity when paddling tandem and advantageous for more gear hauling. The removable fin design is really helpful for flatwater use or in the ocean. The inflatable floor is directly exposed to the bottom area you are kayaking, so it doesn't have the same protection as the FK396 or WK396 models which have added second layers. This isn't critical for most customers as the single layer of material can easily handle most lake/ocean use. Consider the other models if you want to bang around on the rocks/coral with limited concern. For true river use in rapids where significant water will need to be removed quickly for performance, the 13' Saturn Whitewater Kayak is recommended.

This inflatable kayak has been a game-changer for my outdoor adventures. Its ease of setup and inflation means I can be on the water in no time. The kayak's stability is outstanding, thanks to the catamaran hull and removable fins. I've taken it through various water conditions, from calm lakes to rapid-filled rivers, and it has performed exceptionally well. The included carry bag and repair kit are valuable additions, ensuring I'm always prepared. If you're seeking a durable and versatile inflatable kayak, the OK420 is a fantastic investment.

Hey Saturn Kayak people! Just thought you might enjoy hearing that we love our Saturn Sea Kayak. We put it in a hard shell suitcase and take it just about everywhere we go. This pic shows our kayak anchored off a sandbar 1/2 a mile away from Filitheyo Island which is a 45 minute seaplane ride from Male, Maldives, which is 9,670 miles from our home in Seaside, Oregon!

Thank you for making a product that improves the quality of our lives!

I ordered two OK420 Kayaks.
One had a slight problem and Cody with Saturn Rafts took care of the problem right away. I have never had better customer service than this company provided.
With two of us in the kayak it paddled easily, tracked straight and turned on a dime. We have only had them on lakes and small rivers so far, and I look forward to seeing how they preform in a little faster water.

I got the 2 person Ocean Kayak about 2.5 years ago. I have an NRS outlaw 1 person as well. I love the Saturn Ocean Kayak. I take it down the class II and Class III rapids many times a year and it performs great. Some minor flaws noted such as one of the paddle velcro straps was glued on backwards but the overall quality of the kayak is fantastic in a river.

Purchased the inflatable ocean kayak from you Saturn Canada. An inflatable kayak! What a sweet idea! My friends all have to strap their kayaks to the roof of their cars. What a pain. I just grab my little carrying case, toss it in the trunk, and meet them at the beach. So convenient! This thing handles the waves so good too, thanks to self bailing drains.. Much better than my old plastic kayak. We happy with my OK420. After 2 years of use it still looks like new! I like to go to lake Ontario with my boy!

I wanted to write a quick letter describing my experience with the OK420 inflatable kayak that I purchased last June. We have been using an inflatable kayak for the last four years. We purchased a Sea Eagle 330 to take with us in our fifth wheel trailer as we traveled full time around the country for approximately three years. Although the Sea Eagle did a satisfactory job most of the time, we found it wanting in several areas. I was looking for a heavy duty inflatable that I could easily mount fishing accessories to and even possibly a trolling motor. My search took me to the boatstogo.com website where I found just what I was looking for. I must admit I was extremely skeptical when I saw the low price on what seemed to be a very high quality boat. I had seen similar boats advertised for at least twice the price but the specifications and the reviews I read convinced me to give the OK420 a try. We received our kayak in June of 2010 and I set about rigging it with a fish finder and pole holders and

I made a dolly to transport it. All this was made extremely easy due to the many attachment points ( D-rings) and the aluminum platforms (seats) front and back. I was pleasantly surprised by how heavy duty this boat is and the high quality of construction as compared to my Sea Eagle and I was anxious to get it in the water.

July of 2010 we left on an extended trip to the northwest. Our first chance to use our new boat was in the Bend/Sunriver, OR area. We kayaked down many miles of the Deschutes River as well as the Little Deschutes and put the boat in several of the local lakes. The first thing I noticed was that this kayak is built like a tank. It is extremely stable for a kayak. I am over 250 pounds and I can stand up in the boat without fear of capsizing. The wide stance of the boat gives a great sense of security and the boat tracks very nicely downstream. I turned the boat around and paddled upstream for about a quarter mile just to see how it paddled against the current. Although it is not as fast as my smaller Sea Eagle, I found I really didn’t give up very much in speed for the extra size and stability of this boat. I met a river guide on the Deschutes River who examined the boat and said it was easily as well built as the boats he uses on guided trips on up to class three or four whitewater.

After three weeks in Bend, OR we moved on to Couer d Alene, ID where we spent a month using the boat almost every day on most of the local lakes and rivers. We used the OK420 on clam water, rough water, upstream and downstream and caught many fish out of this boat. After a summers worth of heavy use I am still very pleased with my purchase and I am apparently not the only one. I am constantly being stopped by fellow RV’ers who, like myself, is looking for a good, strong fishing platform that is still easily portable. The strength and durability of this boat is very apparent. I had this boat inflated for three weeks in Oregon and a month in Idaho and I never had to add air. Compare this to my Sea Eagle that needs to be topped off literally every time you use it. While using my Sea Eagle, I have gotten several punctures from sharp fish hooks over the years. This last summer I struck the OK420 with the same type lures that had caused punctures in my Sea Eagle and I saw no damage at all to my OK420. My next step is to mount a trolling motor and that project is currently underway. I can’t wait to try it out this spring.

I really like the design of this kayak. It's the only one I've found where the floor is suspended half way up the tubes. This eliminates so much drag, and makes it very responsive and quick on flat water. I don't know why more inflatable kayak manufacturers don't go this route. That is what makes the design so brilliant. Having a rocker on both ends and being self bailing, also makes it behave well in white water, but the rocker isn't so high that being blown about by the wind is a problem. The material is heavy duty and robust and this kayak can carry a lot of gear for overnight campouts on the river. This kayak is amazing, and very light for the amount of gear it can carry. The price is very reasonable, you can't go wrong with this kayak.

I researched the heck out of this kayak and there were no red flags for me. The price was right and I ordered it for use in the Caribbean. The setup on the Saturn Kayak was a breeze and takes just minutes. In the water, the kayak performed well. It tracked straight using the two attachable fins, and moved remarkably easy through the water considering its an inflatable. The floor is very firm and is raised slightly off the water. The seats are comfortable, and slightly raised by using the cushions provided, giving me a better view of the water. Any water that got in the kayak is quickly removed through the openings in the floor. My butt stays completely dry. The kayak is incredibly sturdy and stable. I used it for fishing and I was able to stand and cast with ease. As with any inflatable, it seemed to be affected by stiff winds, but that would be true with almost any boat. The paddles provided are marginal and the Velcro paddle holder on the side of the kayak are not very reassuring. I've used it in the ocean, open bays and protected lagoons. So far... no problems. I would recommend.
